The Bruce and Kathy Pitman Student Success Fund

The Bruce & Kathy Pitman Student Success Fund provides support to University of Idaho students who wish to pursue leadership development opportunities and student service learning projects that impact their lives and help create a better world.

Named after former U of I Dean of Students Bruce Pitman and his wife Kathy, this endowment provides recurring and ongoing funds for the dean of students to strategically invest in University of Idaho students through projects like conferences, counseling and other activities that provide support for students who have encountered unforeseen hardships on their road to success.

The Katy Benoit Safety Fund

When you donate to the Katy Benoit Safety Fund, you are supporting an ongoing commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our students, both educationally and concretely. Donations will support the annual Katy Benoit Safety Forum- allowing access to a broader range of educational speakers and opportunities. These funds may also be used to assist students navigating the myriad impacts of intimate partner violence on their lives. Success for our students is measured many ways, and a college experience free of abuse is one of them.

Joe Vandal & Spirit Squad

With the current state of our mascot suits, we are not sure if Joe will make it another season. Our current mascot suits are falling apart and have required some innovative thinking on how to make them work. We have done patch work, sewn in new straps/material, tried to replace chin straps in both heads and more. There is only so much repairing we can do before we need to replace them. Not to mention, there are permanent odors in the suits. The two suits we have are approximately eight and thirteen years old, so you can imagine all of the sweat build-up from student volunteers over the years. 

In addition, we want to be able to support our Spirit Squad members travel to needed games to support our Vandals and cheer them on to victory!

The U of I Spirit Squad is funded through student fees and does not have other avenues of revenue other than fundraising, which is why we are reaching out to our Vandal family. Please donate today to help us support the Spirit Squad and obtain a new Joe suit to get him back to feeling confident on game day!
