Support what you love in CLASS!
Thank you for championing the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences and investing in the future of our students. Every gift you make helps students move forward — whether it’s finishing a degree, marching on as part of the Sound of Idaho or overcoming unexpected hardship. This Vandal Giving Day, your support empowers students to stay brave, bold and on the path to success. Join us in these efforts — or give back to the area of CLASS that means the most to you.
Thousands of Vandals are closer to graduation than you might think. Through the Vandal Finish initiative, we’re reaching out to more than 13,000 former students — some dating back to the 1990s — who left the university just shy of earning their bachelor’s or associate’s degree.
Many are in good academic standing but had to pause their education due to financial strain, family obligations, long commutes or other challenges. Now, they’re ready to finish — but without access to traditional financial aid, many still face barriers.
Your gift to the Vandal Finish Fund provides flexible, unrestricted scholarship support to help these students complete their degrees and unlock new career and personal opportunities. With your support, more Vandals can finally cross the finish line and achieve what they started.
Giving Challenges
Vandal Marching Band
The Vandal Marching Band is a proud tradition of the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences. For more than 100 years, the band has been the Sound of Idaho — spreading Vandal spirit and cheering on the Vandals to victory.
The band’s infectious enthusiasm, dedication and musicianship set the Sound of Idaho apart. Its continued success is made possible by the generosity of the Vandal Family.
Your support helps ensure that Vandal Marching Band members have the resources they need to continue performing at the highest level — from maintaining instruments and uniforms to supporting travel and performance opportunities. Every gift helps keep the music alive and the Vandal spirit marching on.

Jayson Kristopher Gray CLASS Student Emergency Fund
The Emergency Fund provides financial assistance to students registered in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences at University of Idaho who are experiencing unanticipated hardships resulting from emergency circumstances such as illness, accident or loss of income. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for this short-term assistance.
Named in the memory of Jayson Kristopher Gray, a CLASS student who passed away due to suicide in 2023, this helps our students in the moments of their greatest need. You can make current-use donations or help build the endowment fund itself.
If you don’t see the fund you’re looking for on this page, you can still make a difference. Support the program in CLASS that means the most to you.
Thank you for your generous support of the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences!
