The Raven Scholar program is a free, donations-based support service for degree-seeking University of Idaho students on the autism spectrum. For the past several years we have celebrated 80% (or above) perseverance rates! In 2024-25 we served over 70 students and will see a total of 14 students graduating this year (4 in fall 2024, 10 in spring 2025)! Our program provides individualized services such as a strengths-based action plan, one-on-one weekly meetings, a skills development class, Focus on Success, advocacy, skills training, services coordination, supported decision making, case management and intervention for early progress grades or faculty and staff concerns.
Through Raven Scholars, students foster a sense of community and actively build and nurture social networks by:
· Engaging with other Raven Scholars and peer-mentors.
· Participating in monthly social events.
· Spending time in our neurodivergent friendly dedicated space on the Moscow campus.
· Working with staff and interns who deeply understand and value neurodiversity.
· Gaining confidence by being themselves while receiving the support they need.
WHAT YOUR GIVING ACCOMPLISHES: Your support of Raven Scholars will allow us to continue providing enriching educational and social support for our students, including monthly social events, discussion groups and workshops; games, sensory tools, interactive activities, snacks for the student lounge, self-development materials and more!
