Business and Economics
Brave. Bold. Business.

The College of Business and Economics (CBE) has transformed lives through impactful business education for 100 years!

Our students learn through innovative experiences, conduct research that impacts society, and engage with the business community. They also work closely with world-class faculty through hands-on learning, both in and out of the classroom.

Our vision is to fully engage every CBE student throughout our signature holistic student journey, empowering them to achieve academic, personal, and professional success.

You can help us realize this vision by supporting one or more of our vital funds!

Student scholarships

Your gift can help bridge the $4,500 annual financial aid gap many students face by expanding CBE’s scholarship program towards our $1 million in scholarships awarded goal. Ultimately, your contribution empowers students to achieve their college graduation dreams and access a business education without the burden of significant student debt.

CBE Idaho Entrepreneurs

A gift to the Idaho Entrepreneurs program supports U of I’s strategic effort to develop Idaho’s next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. We do this by instilling an entrepreneurial mindset so students can see opportunities. Our new minor and certificate programs are growing rapidly and attracting students from all across the UI campus. The Idaho Pitch and other competitions our students routinely win provide our young entrepreneurs critical skills, a network of mentors, and a start on the seed capital to move innovation from UI to the marketplace. This highly successful program works with hundreds of students each year, has launched businesses and social ventures across our state, and Vandals have won $1.3 million in seed money from competitions to move their ideas forward.

Help us continue to teach students that “Life’s a Pitch!”

Dean’s Excellence Fund

The Dean’s Excellence Fund is dedicated to providing a premier student experience. It achieves this by supporting exceptional educational opportunities, funding comprehensive professional development that empowers all CBE undergraduates to confidently and effectively pursue their career goals. Key areas of student support include funding for course-related travel, student organization events, the student ambassadors' program, and undergraduate research opportunities, all leading to the development of our students.

Thank you for elevating excellence in the College of Business and Economics!
