“My GPA would have been higher if the library had looked like this when I was an undergraduate,” tweeted a recent Vandal graduate about the Library’s newly remodeled first floor. Facilities matter to our students. Student success depends on having top-notch spaces to collaborate, to study, and to get expert assistance on their research.
With such a grand beginning, we want to continue to refresh the library so it will fulfill its mission of making the best research resources available to our students and scholars. We plan to improve the third floor, showcasing and preserving our special book and manuscript collections. We dream of providing the one-stop shopping academic experience for our students. If you need something to improve your academic success, just come to the library—you’ll find it there! From help with assignments to make a model or find the resources needed to support your thesis, it will be at the library.
To make this happen, we are starting the planning for the next phase of remodeling. Your support will make this library the center for student learning at the University of Idaho.
Thank you! Vandal Giving Day was more than just a day. It was a reminder of how strong Vandal Pride really is. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University of Idaho showed what a difference one day can make, contributing an impressive 1,344 gifts totaling $441,313.
Over 36 hours, the Brave and Bold rallied together to help shape the future for our students and our great university. We extend a heartfelt thank you, and congratulations for our collective accomplishment. Go Vandals!
We did it! The $10,000 Library Advisory Board Match is complete. Thanks to the University of Idaho Library Advisory Board the generosity of our donors counted even more. Thank you to everyone who participated, and a big thank you to the Library Advisory Board for supporting student success!
