What is Giving Day?
Vandal Giving Day is the name of a 36-hour online giving campaign designed to provide alumni, donors and friends an opportunity to support student scholarships and select funds to shape the future of our students. Through your generous donations, the giving day will provided needed funds to support student scholarships, programs and other funds through a highly visible celebration of the University of Idaho and the generosity of those who support the institution.
What do Vandal Giving Day donations go towards?
Your donations are allocated to the funds you support through the Giving Day website. There are plenty of options for you to choose from, including scholarships, the Vandal Marching Band, the UI Library and others. Every gift, regardless of size makes an impact in the lives of our students and helps us provided a transformative education and shape the lives of our future leaders!

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes--Your gift is tax-deductible as specified in the IRS regulations. The University of Idaho Foundation, Inc. is registered as a charitable organization with the State of Idaho Secretary of State. Gifts of securities may have additional tax-benefits, as can bequests, trusts and other life income gifts
To claim a charitable tax deduction, the IRS requires the donor to obtain a receipt for all charitable contributions of $250 or more. A tax gift receipt will be sent to you from the UI Foundation.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card is charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.
Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes--When you make a gift online via credit card, you will receive a confirmation email immediately followed by an official receipt in the U.S. mail.
