Gifts made during Vandal Giving Day support our:
Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Projects
Hands-on learning is guaranteed in the College of Engineering. Your gift will support DeVlieg Scholars, students who represent the best of the future of engineering. These students' projects demonstrate innovation, entrepreneurship and a bold spirit for tackling big challenges. They reflect the pioneering spirit of the founders of the DeVlieg Machine Tool Company and the DeVlieg Foundation.
Your gift will be matched dollar to dollar up to $25,000 by the DeVlieg Foundation!
Dean’s Excellence Fund
Create the most impact and support for students and faculty in areas that are often overlooked. Gifts to the Dean’s Excellence Fund support hands-on experiences and build students’ professional skills by providing access to professional conferences and other networking opportunities to build industry connection.
The Dean’s Excellence Fund also supports students facing emergency needs and crisis situations to help them persist in their engineering education.
Thanks to the generosity of Bob & Gloria Furgason, every dollar given to the Dean’s Excellence Fund during Vandal Giving Day will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000!
Engineering Student Clubs and Organizations
Students participating in engineering clubs develop leadership skills, practice hands-on engineering, increase their communication and teamwork capabilities, gain an appreciation for their community through volunteering and build their resumes. Your gift will help Engineering student clubs and organizations by enabling participation in competitions, minimizing expenses to attend professional conferences and supporting specific club projects.
The first 10 gifts to Engineering Student Clubs and Organizations will unlock a $500 gift from Krista Brown to the Steel Bridge Student Competition Club. Fifteen gifts to Engineering Student Clubs will unlock a $525 gift from Bill McDougall to the Clean Snowmobile Club! Twenty gifts will unlock an additional $5,000 to all Engineering Student Clubs from Dave & Nicci Whitehead!
