Strengthening the health and wellness of the Vandal community. 


Recreation and Wellbeing enriches the University of Idaho learning experience by fostering connection and a lifelong appreciation for recreation, health and wellness through premier programs, services, facilities, advocacy, and collaborative initiatives. Our programs are housed in the Student Recreation Center and include Fitness, Intramural Sports, Outdoor Programs, Sport Clubs, the Vandal Spirit Squad and Vandal Health Education.


Vandal Ventures Scholarships 

Send a future Vandal on the University of Idaho Outdoor Program's first-year student adventures! These trips bring students together to form bonds before classes even start. This is their chance to work on building confidence, leadership skills, self-dependence, teamwork, communication, and of course - have fun! Adventures include 6 day rafting trips and 6 day backpacking trips. Your support helps student success, retention, and build life-long relationships for a future Vandal who needs financial support to attend.

Spirit Squad to Nationals 2025

The Spirit Squad features high energy cheering, stunting, tumbling, and dance performances all year long at UI events. They support UI Athletics in their biggest moments and is now asking their Vandal Family for help and support. The Vandal Spirit Squad is a nationally ranked program after the 2024 USA Collegiate Nationals. To help our cheer and dance teams get to back to the national floor, we need to raise funds for 2025. Let's Go Vandals! Let's do what we can to be the cheerleaders for our Spirit Squads who bleed silver and gold all year long.

The Recreation and Wellbeing Scholarship fund provides valuable education and recognition resources to our student staff. Your gift helps to provide scholarship and learning support, recognize student success and achievements, provide professional development, and career training opportunities.
