In the College of Business and Economics (CBE), we’re learning together to meet the opportunities and challenges of a competitive world. Our students are ready to succeed — and lead — come graduation day.
Please consider giving to one of the funds vital to our students’ continued success.
CBE Alumni Access Fund
This scholarship is a powerful retention tool. With your gifts, CBE retained 17 students facing COVID-related financial hardships this year. Some dropped classes to work when a parent lost their job during the pandemic. Others fell behind in the online learning environment. All of them lost financial aid. However, this access fund filled funding gaps and allowed them to stay in school, afford summer courses and graduate on time. Your support helps CBE meet the unique financial challenges our students continue to face on this side of the pandemic.
CBE Dean’s Excellence Fund
This fund has been vital in helping faculty and students adapt and succeed during a year impacted by COVID-19. It also allowed us to increase outreach to prospective Vandals and provide information about the life-changing opportunities at CBE. As we prepare students for an engaging college experience this fall, this fund will resume supporting:
- Travel for Executive Shadow students visiting companies across the Pacific Northwest to learn from industry-leading executives.
- Networking nights with corporate recruiters where students practice networking skills to help land their first, post-degree employment position.
- Travel for students participating in Vandal Student Enterprises to tour financial exchanges and companies, and network with contacts across the country.
These opportunities and more are made available to all students, regardless of their financial resources, through your gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.
CBE Barker Trading Program and Capital Management Fund
This program uses real trading platforms and live markets to help students develop strategies and skills to manage financial assets and instruments. Students can also apply to trade funded accounts, manage financed portfolios with a team and develop their own risk management strategies. A Trading and Capital Management Certificate ensures graduates are employer-ready and prepared to apply their experience across multiple industries.
Your gift to The Barker Trading and Capital Management Fund continues to make these student experiences possible.
