In the College of Business and Economics, we’re learning together to meet the opportunities and challenges of a competitive world. Our students are ready to succeed — and lead — come graduation day.
Please consider giving to one of the funds vital to our students’ continued success:
CBE Scholarships Fund
CBE awarded 230 scholarships last year. These awards were funded by donors who gave nearly $700,000 to the college’s Scholarships Fund, bridging the financial divide between students and their goal of graduating college. Your gift will support a student’s ability to get the business education they might otherwise only dream of obtaining.
The most recent scholarship offered through CBE is funded by the Canto-Matthews family, pictured above. From Left to right: Renato and Melanie Canto, their two children, and Melanie's parents, Julie and Wayne Matthews
CBE Dean’s Excellence Fund
This fund provides leadership the flexibility to support college-specific programs and unique student experiences. This year it supported:
- Travel for 10 Executive Shadow Program students to visit companies across the Pacific Northwest and learn from industry-leading executives.
-
2 CBE networking nights, giving students a chance to meet with 18+ employers twice a year, practice their networking skills and learn about employment opportunities.
-
Travel for 12 Davis Group students to visit New York and tour the stock exchange and network with college contacts.
-
Travel for 8 Barker Trading Program students to visit Chicago, tour the mercantile exchange and network with college contacts.
-
Finishing the Albertson Building Student Level, 4–year-long project.
These experiences are life-changing and lead to careers made possible only by your gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.
