The U of I College of Natural Resources is one of the best in the country. We have a long tradition of excellence -- training leaders and producing cutting-edge research for more than 100 years. Your support gives students opportunities to conduct research alongside award-winning faculty, learn in some of the world’s best outdoor classrooms and gain the practical experience they need to launch their careers. Please help students who are eager to return to this unique and important learning environment. Anyone and everyone who donates during Vandal Giving Day to CNR will be entered for a chance to win 2 football dean’s suite tickets!
CNR Excellence Fund
With your contribution we can help students meet their educational goals, gain real-world experience and develop leadership skills. The Excellence Fund is essential to support students at the one-on-one level, particularly those who do not have the financial means to participate in CNR experiences that are beyond the scope of tuition costs, such as:
- Undergraduate leadership training opportunities and travel- we send our undergraduate clubs to national conferences each year, like SAF and ASF
- Events for student engagement, growth, and recognition- like our annual Welcome Back BBQ and the Annual Awards Banquet
- Fieldwork with landowners, industries, agencies and nonprofits
- Technology and facility improvements that enhance learning environments
College of Natural Resources Scholarships
Scholarships provide necessary funds to CNR undergraduate students, many of whom would be unable to attend U of I otherwise. Students are automatically considered for scholarships based on criteria such as GPA, major and other qualifiers like financial need. A gift to the College of Natural Resources Scholarship Fund will provide much-needed support for students during this difficult time and help keep them on their journey through higher education.
