College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Excellence Fund
Your gift to the CALS Excellence Fund allows students the opportunity to gain industry knowledge outside the classroom, the ability to bring world-renowned agricultural professionals and alumni to campus to share experiences and research with students, faculty and staff, and provides much needed scholarship support. Since 2016, nearly $30,000 from this fund has been used to assist 88 CALS students attending conferences, national competitions, professional meetings and trainings, and international events. These opportunities allow our students to broaden their skill set while meeting potential employers and showcasing the work being done in CALS. Your gift to the CALS Excellence Fund is the easiest way to impact many students in the college.
College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Scholarship Fund
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences offers over 400 scholarships exclusively to CALS students. Students are automatically considered for these scholarships based on their enrollment status, GPA, major and other qualifiers such as financial need.
CALS awards nearly $1 million in scholarships to current and incoming students each year. More than half of our students receive scholarships. There is a growing demand for graduates with a degree in agricultural and life science related fields and CALS is working to fill those jobs with well-prepared graduates who are ready to meet the challenges of a changing world. Can we count on your support today to provide more scholarships for our students in CALS?
University of Idaho Extension Support Endowment
Your gift to this endowment provides overall support to U of I Extension and assistance to program areas most in need. Unrestricted funds allow the U of I Extension Director the flexibility to determine where funding would make the greatest impact. Most recently, funds have been used to provide U of I Extension educators with professional development opportunities to further expand their expertise and learn about programming that can be implemented in their local communities. By improving their knowledge, our U of I Extension educators are able to help individuals, businesses and communities solve problems and learn new skills. Your gift to the U of I Extension Support Endowment can make an immediate impact in your local community.
