College of Science Undergraduate Research Fund
The College of Science (COS) places a great deal of emphasis on providing opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in hands-on research. We see this as a unique opportunity that we offer at the University of Idaho. This semester, the college awarded four undergraduate research grants using donations to the COS Undergraduate Research Fund. Each student received $1,500 to fund their research projects. This program wouldn't be possible without support from people like you and the ongoing generosity of Brian and Gayle Hill. Please give today to fund additional undergraduate research grants.
College of Science Excellence Fund
Our departments and programs use gifts to the Excellence Fund to support awards, travel, recruitment, outreach and more. Last year we used gifts to the Excellence Fund to help support our popular Women in Math and Science program, which encourages young women to pursue studies and careers in STEM fields. Your gift to the Excellence Fund will also support equipment purchases, maintenance, and other items needed to strengthen research in the college.
College of Science Scholarships
The College of Science is working to grow enrollment to serve our land grant mission of educating the population and to help grow Idaho's economy. Because of the generosity of our donors, we are able to award more than $500,000 in scholarships annually. Your gift helps us recruit and retain students pursuing their degrees here at the University of Idaho.
For 1,889 minutes last week, Vandals from nearly every state and across the globe came together to support and celebrate the things we all love about the University of Idaho. Whether you made a gift or shared your love for U of I on social media by becoming an ambassador, the Vandal family made a statement together in raising nearly half a million dollars for our students and programs. Thank you for the unprecedented generosity shown on Vandal Giving Day.
