The College of Business and Economics (CBE) has transformed lives through impactful business education for over 100 years!  

Our students learn from and collaborate with world-class faculty through innovative, hands-on experiences both inside and beyond the classroom. They bring that learning to life through meaningful engagement with the business community. Our vision is to fully engage every CBE student throughout our signature holistic student journey, empowering them to achieve academic, personal, and professional success.    

You can help us realize this vision by supporting one or more of our priority initiatives.  

Student Scholarships  

Your gift can help bridge the $4,500 annual financial aid gap many students face by expanding CBE’s scholarship program towards our goal of awarding $1 million in scholarships each year. Ultimately, yourcontribution empowers students to achieve their college graduation dreams and access a business education without the burden of significant student debt.   

Dean’s Excellence Fund  

The Dean’s Excellence Fund is dedicated to providing a premier student experience. It achieves this by supporting exceptional educational opportunities, funding comprehensive professional development that empowers all CBE undergraduates to confidently and effectively pursue their career goals. Key areas of student support include funding for student travel to engage with companies, student organization events, and the student ambassadors' program, all leading to the development of our students. 

AI & Analytics Lab 

The CBE is launching a state-of-the art AI & Analytics Lab that will prepare students of all majors for success in a data-driven economy through a hands-on and accessible curriculum. This innovative space will strengthen Idaho’s business competitiveness, expand applied learning opportunities, and foster transformative partnerships with industry. By equipping all students with the skills to understand, analyze, and use data ethically and effectively, the AI and Analytics Lab, along with its associated curriculum, ensures that our graduates enter the workforce ready to lead in any field.  

Barker Trading Program 

The  Barker  Program enables students to explore all areas of capital markets through the development of trading, risk management, and analytical skills. Through live capital management, weekly trading labs, and real-world market experience from a trader’s perspective, students graduate career-ready. A strong culture of mentorship and student-led leadership fosters applied learning, with curriculum shaped by students earning a Trading & Capital Management Certificate.
