Design a Better World
Students and faculty in the College of Art and Architecture take special consideration for our built, cultural, natural and virtual surroundings — while producing designs that safeguard sustainability, economic resiliency, cultural vibrancy and the common good. Please help us support our students and further our mission by donating to one of our funds. Choose how to make a direct impact by selecting to support scholarships, excellence through research and learning opportunities, student hardship or the Prichard Art Gallery.
The College of Art & Architecture Student Hardship Fund
This fund was created to provide assistance to a student experiencing hardship during the semester that has resulted in unexpected expenses. Created in memory of the late CAA Associate Dean, Stacy Isenbarger, the fund's intent is not to set students ahead, financially, but to offer support and time to navigate their hardship. Stacy was passionate about helping students in any way she could, and this fund carries out her legacy and ensures that students in the College of Art & Architecture are set up for success no matter the obstacles they face along the way.
Gifts to the College of Art & Architecture Excellence Fund provide endless opportunities for our students, staff, and faculty. Dollars from this fund have supported bold ideas, hands-on experiences, and assisted the college in keeping up with the competitive field where funding might not otherwise be available. Examples include:
· Bringing guest artists and speakers to campus
· Cost of travel and attendance for students to present their research at conferences
· Updated studios and labs throughout the CAA spaces
· Covering gaps in funding of student-led and faculty research projects

Help Us Complete the New Prichard Art Gallery - A Completion Campaign
The College of Art and Architecture is nearing completion of the interior remodel of the new Prichard Art Gallery in downtown Moscow. We seek to raise $500,000 to ensure full project completion and position the gallery for opening in October. Your philanthropic support is needed to ensure the project is fully realized.
This is a finish-strong campaign.
For more than four decades, the Prichard Art Gallery has shaped Idaho’s cultural landscape. Since 1982, it has connected artists, students and communities through exhibitions that inspire and educate. Now, we are nearing a defining moment.
The interior remodel of our new downtown Moscow location will be finished by October, with a grand opening on the horizon. The transformation is already visible, and our students are part of it. Now we need you to help us complete it.
The University of Idaho has invested in this vision. To open our doors and fully realize the space, we are raising $500,000 to finish strong.
Your gift will:
- Complete critical interior enhancements
- Prepare the gallery for doors to open in October
- Expand exhibition opportunities for BFA and MFA students
- Strengthen Idaho’s arts economy and creative community
This is a visible commitment to art, education and community in the heart of downtown Moscow. Your support today helps bring this space to life in October.
Please help us elevate the arts at the University of Idaho, as well as the State of Idaho by donating to the Prichard Art Gallery Fund.
Back a New Generation of Artists and Artisans: CAA Scholarship Fund
Financial barriers often get in students' way of pursuing a quality education. Now students need our financial support via scholarships more than ever. You can help us remove that financial barrier by making a direct donation to the scholarship fund. Your donation will support a student's ability to embark on the design education of their dreams. Please help us further our mission by making a gift to CAA Scholarships today.
The CAA Design-Build program is currently underway designing and building affordable small homes in partnership with the Moscow Affordable Housing Trust — the Lupine Flats Design-Build Project — having completed the first house in Fall 2022. This program will continue for a total of six years, providing our students a valuable hands-on learning experience. By supporting the Lupine Flats Design-Build Project fund you can help ensure that this exciting opportunity will continue to benefit our Moscow community and Architecture students for years to come.
