The Raven Scholars Program is a free, donor-supported program at the University of Idaho that provides individualized, strengths-based support for neurodivergent students, specifically those on the autism spectrum.
Each year, Raven Scholars consistently achieves perseverance rates of 80% or higher. In 2025–2026, the program has supported nearly 80 students, with 11 graduates this academic year and many more on track to graduate in Fall 2026. These outcomes reflect students building confidence, strengthening self-advocacy, and developing skills that extend beyond college.
We provide individualized support, advocacy, coordination of campus resources, and early outreach when challenges arise, helping students stay on track and connected.
Community, Connection, and Growth
Raven Scholars creates space for students to feel supported, connected, and understood.
Through the program, students:
- Participate in regular one-on-one meetings and develop individualized, strengths-based action plans
- Build skills through INTR 1010: College Success Strategies
- Strengthen self-advocacy and navigate college systems with greater confidence
- Connect with peers and receive support from trained peer mentors
- Participate in monthly events and activities throughout the semester, including Tabletop Tuesdays each week
- Access a dedicated, sensory-friendly space on campus
In addition to direct student support, our team regularly presents to faculty, staff, and student leaders on supporting neurodivergent learners and reducing barriers to success, expanding our impact across campus.
