Vandal Giving Day – Supporting Student Opportunity and Experience

Overview

Vandal Giving Day provides an opportunity to directly support student-driven programs that enhance campus life while helping students build meaningful professional skills. Gifts supporting Vandal Entertainment and Vandal Esports create hands-on learning opportunities where students develop experience in leadership, event production, marketing, broadcast media, technology, and community engagement.

Both programs operate as experiential learning environments where students apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects. Students plan and execute major campus events, produce live broadcasts, create media content, and build communities that connect students with shared interests.

Support helps fund student leadership roles, equipment, event production, program development, and opportunities that contribute to a vibrant campus environment while preparing students for careers in growing industries.

Your gift directly supports student growth, strengthens campus engagement, and expands access to opportunities that help students gain valuable real-world experience.

Vandal Entertainment

Learn more:

Vandal Entertainment enhances the student experience by producing events that bring the University of Idaho community together. As a student-led programming board, Vandal Entertainment creates opportunities for students to experience live entertainment, interactive activities, and campus traditions that help make college memorable and engaging.

Throughout the year, Vandal Entertainment organizes concerts, comedy performances, movie nights, interactive programs, and campus-wide events designed to build community and provide opportunities for students to connect outside of the classroom. Events such as Finals Fest and other large-scale programs give students a chance to relax, celebrate accomplishments, and engage with the broader campus community.

Students involved with Vandal Entertainment gain hands-on experience in event planning, marketing, logistics coordination, budgeting, and live event production. These opportunities help students build transferable skills relevant to careers in business, marketing, communications, hospitality, entertainment management, and nonprofit leadership.

Donations help support student-led programming, artist and performer bookings, production equipment, marketing materials, and the continued growth of engaging campus traditions.
