Terry Armstrong Found Money Fund
What began with three pennies found on a walk to work has grown into one of the most unique traditions at University of Idaho. In 1981, Terry Armstrong started collecting coins he found around campus as a lighthearted way to build a “rainy day” fund for the future. Soon others joined in — faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends began sending in the loose change they discovered in parking lots, sidewalks and desk drawers.
Today, the Terry Armstrong Found Money Fund continues to grow through those simple acts of generosity. Every coin, dollar or unexpected find becomes part of something much bigger.
Your gift during Vandal Giving Day helps continue a tradition that proves even the smallest discoveries can create an unstoppable impact for generations of Vandals. Help us celebrate 45 years with a gift today.
