A New Generation of Artists & Artisans

Design a Better World

In one of the fastest growing states in the nation, it's crucial that we're innovative and responsible stewards in our designs. That's why students and faculty in the College of Art and Architecture take special consideration for our built, cultural, natural and virtual surroundings — while producing designs that safeguard sustainability, economic resiliency, cultural vibrancy and the common good. Please help us support our students and further our mission by donating to one of our funds. Choose how to make a direct impact by selecting to support scholarships, excellence through research and learning opportunities or the Prichard Gallery.

College of Art & Architecture Excellence Fund

Gifts to the CAA Excellence Fund provide endless opportunities to our students, staff, and faculty. Dollars from this fund have supported bold ideas, hands-on experiences, and assist the college in keeping up with the competitive field where funding might not otherwise be available. Examples include:

· Bringing guest artists and speakers to campus

· Cost of travel and attendance for students to present their research at conferences

· Updated studios and labs throughout the CAA spaces

· Covering gaps in funding of student-led and faculty research projects

Prichard Art Gallery Fund

After unfortunately closing the doors of the downtown Prichard in 2021, CAA has partnered with the University of Idaho to create a new gallery and Vandal Welcome Center in the building formerly occupied by the Moscow Police Station. The gallery is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the university community, the Palouse, the State of Idaho, and the Northwest region. Remodeling has begun with current plans to open the renovated space in late 2024. As is our tradition, we are involving our own creative community in the re-imagined space. As we begin remodeling we want to share with you our phased approach to the project. We envision three phases that will allow us to occupy the building and resume programming in the shorter term. We imagine making improvements over time as resources allow, and over the long term, creating a space that inspires our visitors, community members, and our Vandal Family of alumni and supporters.

Please help us elevate the arts at U of I and the state of Idaho by donating to the Prichard Art Gallery Fund.

Back a New Generation of Artists and Artisans: CAA Scholarship Fund

Financial barriers often get in students' way of pursuing a quality education. Now students need our financial support via scholarships more than ever. You can help us remove that financial barrier by making a direct donation to the scholarship fund. Your donation will support a student's ability to embark on the design education of their dreams. Please help us further our mission by making a gift to CAA Scholarships today.

The CAA Design-Build program is currently underway designing and building their third affordable small home in partnership with the Moscow Affordable Housing Trust—the Lupine Flats Design-Build Project--having completed the first house in Fall 2022. This program will continue for a total of 6 years, providing our students a valuable hands-on experience. By supporting the Lupine Flats Design-Build Project fund you can help ensure that this exciting opportunity will continue to to benefit our Moscow community and CAA students for years to come.

Architecture Class of 1994 Scholarship Endowment

In 1994, the graduating class left an enduring legacy by creating a scholarship fund as their gift. As we commemorate 30 years since your graduation, join us in supporting this scholarship, ensuring a lasting impact on future Vandals for generations to come.
