Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial
In Honor of All Vandals

As a permanent space on the Moscow campus for quiet reflection, remembrance and hope, the Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial will be open year-round to all who visit. The project will honor all students who died while attending the university, with a special memorial to the four young lives lost in the tragic events on November 13, 2022.

Student-Led, Community-Engaged Design

University of Idaho Architecture and Landscape Architecture students collaborated extensively with the community, fellow students, faculty and staff to develop concepts and select a final design that enhances the beauty of its surroundings, incorporates sustainability and is accessible for all.

They are currently refining the design and working side by side with groups across the university to address everything from native plantings to integrated lighting to snow removal. In the process, the student team is gaining valuable, real-world experience and learning directly from experts in a variety of disciplines.
